We’ve just made the u-turn in San Francisco and are headed back to New York to attend our Farmer’s Market on Sunday and fill orders for some exciting events on the Chocology horizon. What a chocolate adventure! We’re so glad you’re on this ride with us!

Over the past three weeks, we’ve been inspired by amazing people, seen some wonderful sites on the road and led some fun-filled chocolate events. We’ve also learned that it’s great fun to quench the sweet tooth and make a difference in the world, all at the same time!

We are so pleased to announce some of the Fundraisers we will be participating in this year. And to sweeten the pot even further, you can help! Read on to learn how you can make a difference. . . simply by eating our Fat Ass Fudge.

Back On My Feet, Philadelphia, PA – Rocky 50K Fat-Ass Fun Run

 

How is this organization changing the world?

Back on My Feet is a non-profit creating independence and self-sufficiency within homeless populations in 11 cities nationwide by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with, Back On My Feet: Rocky 50K Fat Ass Run, to give you an opportunity to help the homeless. From now until the Rocky 50K Fat Ass Fun Run on December 5, every Fat Ass Fudge order that you place using the code BOMF, Chocology will donate $1.00 ($2 for every order of $50 or more) to Back On My Feet, Philadelphia, PA.

Operation Freedom Paws 

How is this organization changing the world?

Founded in January 2010, Operation Freedom Paws is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that matches dogs with individuals who have Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Complex-Post Traumatic Stress (CPTS) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) symptoms, or other physical, neurological, psychological or mobility needs.

We train the individual to train their own dog, and then certify them together as a service dog team in a 48-week program. Most of the dogs come from rescue shelters. This unique opportunity enables our clients to feel safe and secure, and to manage their day-to-day lives. The very special therapeutic canine-human relationship helps them get back out in their communities and begin to view their future with renewed hope.

Last week Madeline and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the team at Operation Freedom Paws, we were so impressed with their operation and everyone we meet.  Chocology is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with, Operation Freedom Paws, to give you an opportunity to help veterans and/or those with disabilities. From now until December 20, every Fat Ass Fudge order that you place using the code FREEDOMPAWS, Chocology will donate $1.00 ($2 for every order of $50 or more) to help a veteran get the dog s/he needs to empower them in moving forward in life.

Catarina’s Club

How is this organization changing the world?

Caterina’s Club serves over 1,200 low-income children a nutritionally balanced meal of freshly made pasta and vegetables 365 days a year. Over 1 Million meals served and rapidly counting.. In addition to feeding hungry children they’ve created the WELCOME HOME program, assisting families who are living week to week in the cramped quarters of a motel room, stay just one step ahead of homelessness, because they cannot scrape together enough money for a deposit on a decent apartment. Our WELCOME HOME program is the catalyst for assisting qualified families, currently living in motels throughout Orange County. To date, 63 families (348 individuals) have been successfully relocated.

Chocology is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with, Chef Bruno and Caterina’s Club, to give you an opportunity to help hungry children in America and help relocate families to a proper home. For every Fat Ass Fudge order that you place using the code CHEFBRUNO, Chocology will donate $1.00 ($2 for every order of $50 or more)  until we can say “Welcome Home” to a family in the Caterina’s Club – Welcome Home Program.

Chef Bruno, One of CNN’s 10 Hero’s of the Year is the only chef in the world serving 1,200 underprivileged children warm dinners, every night and assisting families in finding a home.
